AIBox Experiment, another thought Tags: AI.There are two more very interresting things I read about AI lately. One of them is the Paperclip maximizer. On the Wiki page of
LessWrong, it quotes Eliezer Yudkowsky, who brilliantly summarized it:
The AI does not hate you, nor does it love you, but you are made out of atoms which it can use for something else.

Just this quote alone had me thinking for quite a while.
AIBox Experiment Tags: AI.I read about the AIBox experiment by Eliezer Yudkowsky a while ago and was intrigued by it. For the ones who don't know the experiment, you can read all about it on
yudkowsky.net/singularity/aibox. In summary, it comes down to this:
An AI has (been) developed and has mental capabilities beyond ours. The only way to communicate with it is via a text-only terminal (e.g. IRC), and a human called the Gatekeeper is chatting with the AI.
